Eau Gallie to Titusville, mooring ball

During the night we had a rip-snorter of a thunderstorm. It only lasted about 30 minutes, maybe 45, but it rained hard with heavy drops. What woke us, however, was the thunder. Lightning stuck the lake all around us. Very exciting. On the map it was a tiny cell, which just goes to show you never know.

The morning, in contrast, was sunny and calm. We had the anchor up and were underway quickly.

From my lightning
tracker app, in Eau Gallie.
We're the blue dot.
The entire trip was calm. Few boats were out, so we had no traffic or issues while underway. As the day went on clouds formed, and by noon we got a severe thunderstorm watch for later this afternoon. We were on the mooring ball at Titusville by 12:30.

Gorgeous day underway!
We hoped to meet up with the crew of Bella Gatto, Jonathon and Jayne, today for an early dinner. But the weather wasn't cooperating. Given we need to dinghy to the marina to see them, doing that in a t-storm is one exciting thing I'd like not to do. Sadly, we had to try again another time. They're one of the boats we know heading for Maine. I suspect we'll have many meals together in the future.
